Wear and Abrasion Resistant Linings

Rubber liners – are supplied in standard sizes or can be supplied moulded or cut to size as per the client’s requirements. Liners can be fixed to structures using standard hex head bolts that bolt steel or aluminium backed panels to the structure to be protected. Other fixing attachments are studs or extruded aluminium profiles that use standard “T” bolts.

We formulate and compound our own rubbers to suit specific applications.
Wear liners can be all rubber or made from composite materials using rubber as a base and polyurethane, polyethylene and ceramics as composites, Wear Liners are designed for the following benefits:
  • Reduced noise
  • Reduced impact on supporting sub-frames structures.
  • Reduced maintenance and downtime
  • Increased operation life of plant and machinery
Nepean offer an all rubber structure called “Neplite” that does not use steel or tracks to secure the liner’s, rather the liner incorporates a layer that has properties suited to aid securing the liner.
A special 20% all rubber 85+/- 5 Duro rubber substrate that can be drilled , cut , milled specially formulated to crosslink on to a 65+/-5 duro impact and abrasion compound, this eliminates the use of metal reducing the probability of contamination where necessary.
The tear strength between substrates is no different to the tear strength of the entire rubber compound but many times far superior than the bond between steel/aluminium and rubber.
As a wear panel the advantage of weight reduces OHS risks during installation – improves on the OHS noise requirements and reduces the wear and tear on the actual equipment it is installed on, as well as reduces vibrations to the super structure reducing structural damage caused through vibrations to the superstructure.
Application
Wear Liners are designed and manufactured to suit your requirements, this support is only part of the total service you can expect from Nepean Rubber.
Typical Installations for Rubber Wear Liners are as follows:
  • Feeder & hoper liners
  • Chute liners
  • Deflectors in conveyor transfer stations.
  • Truck body liners
  • Concrete batch mixers
Nepean Rubber’s Wear Liners offer savings in maintenance costs and pant downtime and are extremely cost effective.
Thicknesses offered for all wear liners are:
15; 20; 25; 30; 40; 50; 55; 60; 75; 80; 90; 100; 110 to 240 mm as per requirement
Maximum moulding sizes offered in millimeters are as indicated below but not limited and is dependent on the end users requirement and shape and available tooling,
